APERTURES
Around the year 1800, Thomas Wedgewood made the first known attempt to create permanent pictures by capturing images on material coated with a light-sensitive substance. Since then, photography has developed its own language of light. Aperture, the opening by which light enters the camera, is the theme of this exhibit and a fitting tribute to Wedgewood and all the photographers who followed him into the artform.
